I am back!

How's the new blog design? I just wanted to change the blog title picture when I realized that now Blogger makes designing and customizing your own blog template much easier.

The new title photo was inspired by one of the 2 Japan-only limited edition Jubeat Knit E-amusement pass to be won from Konami. Took that photo this evening at Bugis and "blue-ed' it.

Knit is yellow themed thus the yellow grids but I don't know what's with the mustache design one. Maybe cause Knit will have a male announcer instead?

Albida! Knit will be out in end July. 2 more weeks!

Anyway lot of things happened during the past 1.5+ months. Results was kinda of cui as expected. Went for a few rec list meetings, not exactly a nice experience as you really have to make evaluations of your friends' contributions/abilities. Tsk.

My 22nd Birthday! Erm didn't really have any big celebrations. On that day went K-Box with Qi En, Winfred, Han Yuan and Gabriel. Winfred came late with a surprise Doraemon Polar Cake after which we went dinner at Bishan and met Auntie Lucy! She sang me a birthday song lor. Lol.

So embarrassing!

The rest of the holidays was spent slacking around, occasionally go for some 1 or 2 days jobs like temp carpark surveyor and open house helper.

Got myself some birthday prezzies throughout the month. If you notice Ipod Touch is no longer on my wishlist cause I got myself a 8gb one!

I also bought a Superheadz Wide Angle lomo. Got the Black Slim Devil from Action City at around $59?

I have yet to "开光" it. Maybe this coming Sun when we go celebrate Sheng Chao's belated birthday bah.

Got a new bag as well from Slurplife. A mini messenger bag that can actually fit in my 750ml water bottle and other stuffs. Think it will be very useful during the upcoming FOC.

Oh mine is this red and blue one.

As mentioned in the last post, I am going to train up more. Signed up passion card just to get the gym pass at the nearby TheSerangoon CC's gym. I like it being small and wulu since it means it is never crowded with hardcore gym rats compared to like Hougang or Bishan gyms.

Oh well, it seems like I got "bigger", especially the belly. Haha. All thanks to my ever unhealthy diets and habits. Haha. Ippt was bleh~ Going for RT every Thurs and Sun starting this week. Time to train up more!

FOC is coming soon in Aug! Currently helping out Gabriel with Monster Hunt aka Fright Night. Going to do some props and costume shopping as well as preparing the ghosts actors. This time round it's going to be even scarier since it clashes with the 7th month~~~

Oh I got my marketing specialization and did my course registration liao. Aiming to take some electives like communication studies which I think is rather interesting. Might help in future marketing related projects.

1.5+ months left to yr2. Time to really concentrate on studies and "cheer up" my poor grades.

i pretty sure my results this time round will be quite bad again. esp for stats, which i like totally had not much idea wad it is talking abt in the 1st place~

at least this time round there is ob and marketing, 2 subjects that i am interested in. hmm...it's time to choose specialization for y2 soon. considering btw this 2...

oh well. enough of exams. can only blame myself for not being consistent and hardworking enough even during the revision period. just hope gpa does not drop even further~

time for holidays! almost 3 mth sia. tmr i am gg to work and earn $$$. rec by my aunt one, at her company hq i think. just some normal clerical job.

organisational behavior - a 1000 words limit report with 20% weightage
communication fundamentals - a 3min oral presentation on a newspaper article
marketing - a presentation with 20% weightage
econs - all the tuts and readings since start of sem

and hall stuffs don't seem to be ending anytime soon. i hope will have time to do my sch work considering my lousy grades from sem 1.

my office has been moved to a wulu pandan place in ubi. no more centerpt, orchard road or douby ghoat to go shopping during lunch or after work.

luckily got free shuttle bus from serangoon mrt before and after work. but that place is right in the middle of industrial park and lunchtime have to take free shuttle again to the nearby singapore post at payar lebar.

worst we got split up. my gossipers are now spread over the office. no more slacking/snacking/bitching liao. i am alone sitting next to my department head! haiz~

luckily only got 1 mth+ left...

and i am ready to announce my plan soon~

currently playing on my ds Rhythm Heaven formly known as Rhythm Tengoku Gold when it was released in japan. it's a rhythm game where you have to control your character by tapping ur stylus in beat with the songs.

i played the jpn ver last yr but couldnt totally understand the different instructions for different songs. so i replayed the eng ver when it was released recently.

went it show in the evening alone. super angry mode. anyway got recession meh? so crowded as usual. went around hunting for cheap cpu as my one is kinda of cranky. planned to recee first then 2moro go back and buy one.

but now i do a bit of research online. decided to save money and not but any. the current work still working. suspect graphics card spoil. think will just send to the cheapo ah beng computer shop opp my house for inspection and repair when needed bah.

went kerr's pre-21st bdae party on fri night. just chilling around with the usual council people. after that went clubbing @dbl o again with sonia and edeline.

think i drank quite a lot more than usual. kinda of wonky when going home at 3. juz fell asleep once i board the bus. felt so giddy and feel like puking that i had to alight one stop earlier just to rest at the bustop. waited for next bus and fell asleep the moment i reached home. zzz~

drinking sucks. clubbing is kind of ridiculous like what qicai said. don't think i will go again anytime soon.

2 weeks into my 1st job. covering some admin duties at the accounts department.

apparently the auntie took 1 mth leave and i had to cover some of her work. she only spent like 6 hrs with me on the 1st day to teach me all the stuffs. she has a co-partner but he has a very very very very heavy ang-moh accent that till today i have problems communicating with him. and the work i was assigned apparently is quite important as it involves the prices of their products in global markets. still don't understand why they allowed her to just throw everything to someone newbie like me...

the workload isn't alot. i just wait for mails to arrive before i can input data into the system. so practically i just sit there and wait. the guy has his own work to do as well and we don't really talk alot. the ols zeh zehs and aunties around me very talkative. i am the only temp around my area so it gets quite boring after a while.

lunchtime was horrible. the perms usually go together and being a temp i felt so out of place after lunching with them on the 1st day. so i had a lonely lunch on my 2nd day and it sucks to be walking around somerset area looking for food and seats. in the end i walked to ps and had kfc.

luckily on the 3rd day i decided to ask this other temp girl for lunch. turns out that she was very lonely as well and have been lunch alone since she came 2 weeks ago. the bad thing is that she only works mon, wed and fri so on the other days i had to lunch alone...

by the end of the 1st week i was so bored that i decided to terminate my contract and stop after cny. every morning i had to drag myself to work and i felt so emo whenever i think of the lonely and meaningless 8 hrs i have to spend.

almost everyone i spoke to felt i was too hasty and should be happy that i am getting paid for almost doing nothing much. furthermore, the auntie will be back in like 1.5 weeks time? i also do not have to pay the $200 penalty for early termination, which is like working for free for 1 week?!

so in the end, today wasn't my last day. i shall bear with 2 more weeks of boredom for the sake of $$$! luckily i have enough training in army to stare at the pc and pretend to be doing work. lol.

anyway today office closed shop at 3pm because of cny. was quite happy but later realised that means 3 less hrs of pay! haha. went to amk aracade again. have been spending alot of time and $$$ on arcades. haiz~

went shopping alone in orchard on sat noon for my office wear. got some shirts and pants from g2000 on fri. there was a 50% sale so i was left with shoes to get. didn't managed to get any since town shops were quite ex. got another pants from robinson's sale instead.

sonia called and asked if want to meet for dinner. so i went to douby ghoat and joined her and alethea for cartel dinner. while waiting for gab to come, we had totally random ideas on what to do after dinner: prawning, night cycling, choco fondue at esplanade, some ice-cream place in bukit timah, milkcurd at chomp chomp, selegie touhua, arcade, kbox, watch movie, neoprints, mind's cafe...

gab came while alethea went home. and in the end the 2 clubbing siao decided to go, clubbing! and so we decided to go dbl o for mambo [AGAIN!] since gab said safra card got free entry b4 10.

took cab down since it was already 2130. turns out no more free entry for safra liao. end up paying $20 for entry. after that we went to burger king to tuang until midnight b4 going back.

seems like a good thing there isn't any more free entrys cos the place is less packed. guess all the cheapo bengs decided to go somewherelse liao. so we had plenty of room for mambo-ing.

stayed there till around 3am b4 heading home. think we stood too near to the speakers liao. i can still hear a buzzing sound in my left ear. supposed to sleep till 12 one but don't know why cant really sleep anymore. haiz. shldn't go clubbing so often liao.

received a job offer this morn. $7 mnc in orchard. 3mths contract 1st. the job agent asked if i am interested and she will submit my resume to them for shortlisting

got a call back and she said i have been shortlisted. need me to go down to her office later to collect payroll?! but have to bring down my certs as well. i don't know that means i sort of got the job liao or she just want to have interview with me.

hoepfully it's the former.

WOOHOO! i got myself a job!

i went down to the place and the agent already print out my contract ready for me to sign liao. she not from wad recruitexpress or kellyservices one. they v inefficient one. this one i applied last night and this morn get the offer liao.

anyway i got my expected pay of 7/hr as data entry at somerset! can go shopping/arcade everyday after work liao lor! oh. starts on mon so these few days have to go get my office wear liao.

went zouk mambo jambo with gab last nite[took the new blog pic above there]. 3rd time clubbing. haha. we went to queue and get the tics at ard 830. den went great world city and hang ard till 1000 b4 making our way back.

quite crowded and practically not much space to move around. we think the dj sucks lah. the song choices are so random and non-mambo. even got a china song the wad '我的心里只有你，没有他~' song. diaoz lor~

anyway the crowd got lesser and the real mambo started at ard 3. by then i abit tired and lazy liao. nvr drink much, only 1 glass of vodkalime since the drinks there are super expensive.

i was just standing still, swaying left and right and mambo-ing like a zombie. the whole thing only ended at like 6?! by the time i reached home it was alr 7! showered, drank milk and slept all the way till 330pm. zzz.

got very fascinated by the lasers. haha. kept staring into the black hole/time tunnel-like effect thing[refer to pic above], as if looking into what the future may be in 2009. that is until some sweaty drunk OL or uncle bumped into you and bring me back to reality. haha~

anyway, my resolutions for 2009 are

*get to know more ppl from work and sch
*haf a fun uni life

*gd grades
*be more active/sporty and get fit
*be more good looking? lol~

went to draw blood for ord blood test this morn at the medical centre. i was with this medic friend who is gg to ord on the same day and he offered to draw my blood after the medical centre medic drew his blood 1st.

i was damn scared of needles lah. still remember last time in pri sch i almost fainted after some injection. i din dare to look at them drawing blood and when it was my turn, i just turned and looked away. lol!

donoe is he too long never draw blood or after he kana poked till giddy liao, he couldnt find my vein AFTER poking the needle in lah. actually it's not really painful but the thought and sight of poking needle into your skin is just plain disgusting~

so no choice the medical centre medic had to take over and poke my the other hand! luckily the process was over v quickly as they only drew like 5ml?

then it happened! i couldn't really walk properly and soon everything turned blur. i had to sit down but the giddyness got worse! my fren said my face turned really pale. i could feel my hands getting numb and by now i already cant see ANYTHING liao. my forehead was dripping with cold sweat lah. for a moment i thought i would black out and faint on the spot. haha.

luckily after like 5 mins things got back to normal and we walked to the canteen and grabbed a bite! haha. think either i got abnormal blood pressure or i din eat enough breakfast in the morn bah. i feel so malu lah.~

anyway, this job agent called me today and told me i got SELECTED for a temp admin job at suntec city. he said the company don't even require me to go for any interview as they offered me the place just based on my resume. donoe real or not but i was damn happy lah. somemore he say can start work immediately after my ord and work all the way till june.

but the pay is like only $7/hr? he say sort of have to make the decision by this week then next week can go sign contract liao. $7 i know not bad considering today's market liao. but i was thinking work in suntec transport and expenditure sure quite high one. somemore i have not gone for any other interviews which may have better locations and pay.

but it was so tempting lah. so rare to get offered a position without gg for any interviews and somemore the company not bad one sia. in the end i decided that i shall look at other offers and give this up. abit wasted lah, but i really don't want to sign a 6 month contract and the pay isnt that great either.

haiz. next week hopefully more job offers will come in. praying hard now i can get the toa payoh or bugis one which has better pay! $$$$$

i din pre-order this time round and that was a BIG BIG BIG mistake.

went down to hg mall on wed nite after booking out[in AMRY UNIFORM]. wed was the worldwide official release and usually stocks only arrived after 6pm. 1st i went to cdrama and was told only pre-orders can collect today and they don have extras to sell. PISSED. den went next door to sembawang music and got 2 pple in front of me redeeming the album.

a very interesting scene everytime jay's album released. you will see almost everyone who walk in on the release date will juz go str8 to counter and the staff will give them the album str8 from the delivery box. and somehow the staff know wad u r looking for when u walk in on that day.

anyway, the same thing happened to me in sembawang music. the staff had this long long long list of names who pre-ordered and she said 'sorri only for pre-orders!'. ARGH. i asked her so when can those who din pre-order start getting stocks and she said thurs or fri! DAMN SAD LAH.

so i took mrt to compass point. and guess wad, both cd rama and sembawang there said the same thing. totally sianzed going home empty handed when 15000 singaporeans who pre-ordered are already listening to the album. DEPRESSED.

i decided to try my luck again on thur nite. i went to amk hub music junction and saw some xiao mei meis holding a copy. the last copy on the shelf! they were hesitating to buy it! the moment they put it back to the shelf, i grabbed it and headed str8 to the counter. muahaha!

the damn sad part. i asked if still got any more rubric's cube. this time pre-orders freebie is some rubric's cube with jay's pic on it. usually shops will have extras to give away for non-pre-orders. she said last one given out liao! tsk.

anyway i saw a big box of stocks behind her so i din really get the last copy. nevertheless, i still get the free deck of jay poker cards which comes with every album. and i managed to get it on thur! woohoo~

caught roystan tan's 12莲花 aka 12 lotus on fri night. it's not a sequel or prelude to 881 at all. in fact, it's so much diff from 881.

the musical-style movie is about the tragic story of gei-tai singer 莲花, using the song 12莲花 to bring out the different phases in her life.

unlike 881, i think it's damn sad lah. you will LOL at the occasional funny parts but at the same time you can't help feeling sympathetic for the characters as the jokes often occurs as a result of their misfortunes.

i think roystan tan did tried to jump out of the 881 gei-tai setting and tried a more arty-farty approach this time around. i did some surfing but cant seem to find any discussions or answers to the following questions...

SPOILERS ALERT!

[1] what's with the flash scene of astroboy sitting on the bed with the back view of either 莲花's dad or ah long standing at the door and the immediate scene of ah long taking a photo of himself at the window mean? somehow i got this feeling the dad is a paedophile.
lol, maybe i think too much lah. but see arh, he took in astroboy after his mum abandoned him though he was pennyless and the last person he wanted to see before he died was astroboy and not his own daughter! the parting words he gave to 莲花 was also worth thinking and somemore astroboy was protrayed as gay-ish since young. haha!
and somehow i think astroboy's feather has some significance. got many other references lah, no 1 question i have throughout the movie.

[2] as mentioned in the clip above, what role does the colour pink play in the story? i don think its simply cos lotus is pink. arty-farty stuff not so simple one. lol!

[3] anyone got the song? haha.

overall i think it's worth watching. much much much better than the stupig money no enough 2. in fact, like what one review said, 12莲花 is more 'money no enough' than 'money no enough' lor. everything in the movie happened cos of $$$. the costumes, settings, acting and shooting are much better compared to 881 and the song 12莲花 is addictive!

watched kungfu panda today. DAMN NICE!

the graphics were stunning. u could actually see every single strands of fur on the characters and the different scenes of china mountains, towns and caves looked so real!

master wu gui, master shi fu and panda po are cute! but my fav is actually the rabbits villages. and i am still wondering how come the village only have 3 types of animals-rabbits, pigs and ducks. and there is only 1 tortoisepanda/tiger/leopard/praying mantis/snake/redpanda aka firefox aka master shifu! haha~

victim was enjoying his precious weekend and checking out the Great Singapore Sale

Diagnosis:
[1] throat so sore that victim cant k songs anymore
[2] bad headache on left side of head
[3] missing contact lens on left eye when victim was out shopping

THE SUSPECTS

[1] Calbee Jagabee - brought by victim on thurs nite from watson at 2 for $3.30. victim finished one whole pack himself on the same nite

[2] Mee Siam - victim had this for lunch on sat noon. according to victim's mum, he complained of spicyness just after the 1st scoop.

[3] Fish & Chip - victim's dinner on sat nite. victim had also 'gouped' dad's chicken cutlet.

THE VERDICT
victim had drank 2 500ml bottles of 罗汉果凉茶 + 1 500ml bottle of 洋参菊花茶 throughout the weekends but to no avail. a definite culprit could not be identified as all 3 seems to have contributed in one way or another.

kbox with my collegues on fri nite after work. had the buffet + 4hrs of singing package. quite ex, ard $37 each in the end and the food wasnt very nice.

i missed the crazy kbox sessions with the usual gang. it's just so much more fun singing stupig songs and doing silly things like dancing and jumping around.

went out to celebrate ah ma's bdae just now. ate lots of unhealthy stuffs as usual. i didnt exercise at all during the weekdays and ippt is coming up next thur. i don't know what boss will do to me if i failed again this time round.

everyone is busy during weekdays and having their own problems. weekends are the only free time for having fun and relaxing. and somehow everyone have problems at the same time and theirs' deserved more time and attention.

end up nothing is really done. it's getting more and more tiring. it may be fine during the weekend having all the fun but once sunday ends it's back to work work work. and more problems and troubles...

soon the busy period will arrive. i really hope i can do something about it soon~

CNY is here! don't know whether is it just me but somehow this year there isnt really any CNY-ish atmosphere.

nth much to look forward to also. the goodies are all so sinful and heaty and expensive. new clothes cost me a bomb. hongbao $$$ have to be used to mend the big holes in my pockets. long weekend means 4 continous days of visiting, answering similar ques asked by people cos they also got so bored munching bau kua or gambling away their angbao money.

how i wish i could just slack at home and slack through the 4 days...

btw. do click here and do some charity for the poor folks living alone. for every click, songhe will give them 50g of rice. aim is to gather 30 000 clicks=3 months of rice supply for 300 old folks.

chuan is really getting more and more auntish...

was shopping ard orchard for CNY clothes when we chanced upon this Abercrombie & Fitch warehouse direct sale in far east. was told that it's quite a good brand and decided to see if there was any good bargains.

they had this buy any 3 get 1 more free promotions. discounted price was $42. so we decided to get 2 each and that means $30+ each in the end.

the trouble was we only got to pick suitable polo each. determined to get the buy 3 and 4th piece free offer, we did a really auntie thing~

we scounted around for people with 2 pieces and offered to share the bill with them in order to enjoy the offer...

it was damn farnie how we were observing around at people to see if they are going to buy just 2 pieces. in the end we found these 2 guys who must have thought we are perverts cause we kept looking at them.

damn paiseh sia. i remembered how my mum would do the exact same thing last time when i followed her shopping to ntuc or metro and they have such similar offers. and worse he brought shirts which was different prices from our polos. spent quite some time calculating out how much each of us have to pay sia.

lol. still feel very auntie. well, at least i managed to clear one item off my CNY shopping list. 3 more weekends left and more shopping to do!

1st week of 2008

1st post of 2008. shld be a happy one but somehow things just dont really turn out that way.

met up wif the council pple on new year's eve. we had dinner and boardgames@settlers. it was a short but super fun and loud session. 14 of us squeezing around a small table, screaming and making a fool of ourselves. lol~

my countdown this year was quite pathetic and disapointing. initially thought we would welcome the new year together or go catch the fireworks. but in the end i was with sonia, wen e, wenjie and tony at hougang mall's mac when 2008 arrived. they wanted to had overnight mahjong but was too tired by then and we just rest in mac and let other pple countdown-ed for us. tsk.

1st 3 days of work wasnt much of a diff as well. i just hope my isac card will be ready soon then i can really get things going.

went back to aj for orientation on fri with the council gang again. 1 year only but think got generation gap liao. there was lots of new teachers and somehow the things that interest the kids don't really interest me. like wad andrew said, 'we are 20, getting old liao' haiz~

there was just soooo much of our council life to talk about. all the events we took days and nights to plan and execute, juicy gossips, bitching sessions and silly things we did back in school. more council outing pls!

had an early xmas gathering on sat. met up wif siqi for lunch and then the sec sch gang for the rest of the day.

got some rather good bargains from cotton on. they were having 50% off storewide and i brought a polo at $10 and pair of shorts for only $20!

went arcading with siqi, shuyi and gab at ps. followed by lunch and prezzie xchange at mos where we did lots of cam-whoring with stupig themes. lol~

next we met up wif simin, aileen, shengchao and zhihao at settlers for our 1st ever boardgame session. we started with taboo as we were more familar with it. after which we asked for some recommendations for no-brainers games and had this brigde building board game. it was fun but kinda of too intellectual and quiet.

we wanted noisy games and make lots of noise as that was our main purpose of going boardgame cafe in the 1st place. we got this card and a uno-stacko like monkey game which were still not 'brainless' and noisy enough.

finally we got this old maid cum dogs and bones game which was the best! basically you have to exchange cards with other players in order to achieve a full set of the same colour. the trading takes place randomly in no specfic order and once you complete the set, you can secretly grab a bone from the table.

the bone pile is such that it contains 'no. of players minus one' no. of bones. after some1 grabbed the 1st bone, e other players can also do so regardless whether they had a complete set. and the loser for that round will be the last one without the bone. it was so damn farnie when some1 is still busy with their hand of cards without realising that every1 else had grabbed a bone. we played very violently and laughed so crazily that we were the loudiest table. haha!

dinner and prezzie xchange was at waraku de pasta at central. oya, we went to shuyi's adn simin's hostel on fri to give them the prezzies as it would be too troublesome to bring them around on sat.

we got shuyi and simin a hair dryer and a vertical pole clothes hanger that could be doubled up as pole for pole dancing! lol. they had to guess their prezzies from the respective clue cards. another of our lame ideas. we helped them installed the pole and did some rather turn-offish pole dance. haha!

aileen got her laptop cover. zhihao got a belt, shengchao a sweater, gabriel a shoebag and me a sling bag! yippee~

took a walk along singapore river and took more pics. it feels gd to be away from the usual orchard xmas crowd and enjoy the nice scenary. not forgetting more stupig pics!

had so much fun that day and by 10pm we were all too tired and went home. Zzz~

Sports Climbing Level 1

went for Sports Climbing Level 1 Course@Climbasia Singapore with gab, liyana and clarice on saturday.

we had theory lessons from 1100-1400 followed by the practical session after lunch.

level 1 course covers mainly the basics and the focus was on belaying and not so much of the climbing techniques. it's quite amazing how the belay system allows one to belay someone up to 2 times his weight. clarice was belaying me!

after the course we had free and easy session. we tried the more challenging walls but after 3 hours of practical lessons we were too tired and could only do like 3 metres up? lol.

clarice went home and we went to thai express@plaza sing for dinner.
NO MORE THAI EXPRESS FOR ME!
i ordered this mama noodle that was super super super spicy and couldnt finish it~

we stayed and talked cock until 11+ as we were getting too sleepy. Zzz...

其实在很久之前，就知道我期待已久的多啦A梦电影要在本地上映。
终于等到了11月！第一个约我去看的人竟然是妈咪！哈哈~
原来她是读过了U周刊的报道，在加上续881后难得有想看的movie，于是今天便特地带了她和弟弟去AMKHub。

故事是说大雄有一天一气之下和死党[小夫，胖虎，静香]打赌，说自己有只活生生的恐龙。
大雄为了不再被大家看不起，大雄下定决心非要挖到颗活化石让大家跌破眼镜。
没想到他竟然在后山下挖到了颗恐龙蛋，带回家孵化后抚养出了只取名哔之助的长颈龙。

没想到已长得超大的哔之助有一次不小心被镇里的人看到，当成了loch ness monster。
为了保护哔之助,多啦A梦,大雄和死党们便决定要搭时光机回到恐龙时代，忍痛把哔之助送回属于它真正的家园。

不幸他们却遇到了专门利用时光机穿梭时空捕抓并贩卖恐龙的坏蛋！

this has been my routine for the past few weeks. working in an office is really a good opportunity for some weight gaining. there is lots of time for breaks and we don't really do any exercise except for some slack running/gymming/aerobics every alternate mornings.

so far i managed to gain ard 1kg in 2 weeks. hope will get fatter soon. but my wallet is getting thinner and thinner...
